Daniel & Luci met back in high school when Daniel was a junior and Luci was just a freshman. It was a bit awkward since Luci was being randomly introduced to a whole new group of people at once, but Daniel was the only person to say hi to her, so Luci immediately liked him and thought he was a nice guy.

She had a crush on him in high school, but the opportunity for them to date didn’t come until later. They dated for a short period of time when Luci was 18 and Daniel was 21 but split ways for a while so they could see what all life had to offer...not much it turns out. Years went by and they kept in touch through it all. Daniel has always been such an amazing person and friend to Luci even now, he is her best friend.

They got back together in 2017 after Luci had gone through a bad relationship and things just sort of clicked like nothing had changed. Luci would not be the person she is today if it wasn’t for him. They make each other better people.

Luci finally gave Daniel an ultimatum back at the end of 2021 (they would have been together almost 5 years at that point) and said he had 2 years until the end of 2023 to propose to her otherwise she was just going to start planning their wedding.

She did this because otherwise he would be saving up forever to make sure all his ducks were in a row before we got married. Luci is the chaos to his order and vice versa. They feel like that is one of the reasons they work so well together.

Sure enough Daniel proposed Sept 10th of 2023 (cutting it a little close) in the most amazing and romantic way possible. Luci's significant otter proposed while they were swimming with otters…she bawled.

Now here they are 2024 going on 7 years together and they could not be happier. Luci & Daniel can’t wait to continue this amazing rollercoaster we call life together with her best friend.
